The Look & Feel: Famous for its “Senior Walk,” five miles where every single graduating student’s name is permanently etched into the concrete campus sidewalks.
Senior Walk NWA Perks: Situated right on the Razorback Greenway trail system. The campus features indoor bike parking, and the university rents out hiking, camping, and biking gear. Students also get free access to Razorback Transit buses and easy access to the nearby Walmart AMP music venue.
Dietary Care: Features a dedicated campus dietician and the optional “Green Table” dining service for strict dietary restrictions.

Simplified Admissions Process
No Hurdles: They do not require an essay or letters of recommendation (LOR).
The Timeline: Portal opens July 15. The merit and scholarship application is separate and requires a “Student Activity Sheet.” Out-of-state students must apply early for the best financial aid consideration.
The GPA Bump: Arkansas automatically recalculates every single student’s GPA on a uniform 5-point scale for AP classes. They look at all classes, not just core courses, and will happily review unofficial transcripts for initial applications.
The ACT Policy: They accept the ACT with or without the science portion and will selectively use whichever variation benefits the student’s application score the most.
Engineering Spotlight
Top-Tier but Accessible: Engineering is not fiercely competitive to get into, but it is incredibly rigorous to stay in.
VIP Resources: Engineering students get exclusive, dedicated academic and financial aid advisors housed right inside their department.
