Here's the outline for a narrative rhetorical mode using chronological organization

Remember, as we walked through the Steps in the Writing Process:

• I promised to hand you 30 percent of your essay.

• “All roads lead to outline.” This is your outline for a narrative essay.

• Fifty percent of your work is done in the freewriting step.

• Don’t try to “write” a lede!

• Don’t try to “write” a rough draft.

We’re going to pull your “lede” out of your freewriting exercises, and usually this happens after many freewriting exercises in the process. Leave the lede blank for now and focus on your freewriting exercises. Trust me, that’s where all the magic happens. 😊
